The Fisher 1225-X metal detector is light, tough, easy to use, selective and deep seeking. In fact, it goes just as deep as the 1235-X metal detector and has the same powerful discrimination and ground-reject circuits – yet it lists for substantially less. Standard equipment includes an 8-inch, submersible, detachable, ESI-shielded coil; full-range Sensitivity and Trash-Rejection controls; battery test; stereo/mono headphone jack and zero-motion, push button pinpointing. Compare the 1225-X to anything in its price range. Compare depth, discrimination and ease of use. You’ll find that, dollar for dollar, it’s hard to beat.
Like all Fisher-X detectors, patented Double-Derivative circuitry ignores ground minerals and junk without having to whip the search coil rapidly back and forth. Turn-on-and-go operation means that there’s no ground-reject control, no tuner and no threshold tone. Just set your Sensitivity and Discrimination controls and start Treasure Hunting.
The 1225-X gets 40-50 hours of battery life on just two 9-volt batteries. You get even longer battery life by using headphones. Pick up a 1225-X an you’ll agree that it almost feels like part of your arm. It’s only 3 pounds light with a padded arm rest, built in stand and a near-perfect balance. Fisher is known for making detectors that have extreme ability to penetrate mineralized soil. The 1225-X is no different, it does deep! If you’re looking for affordable depth, discrimination and ease of operation, check one out. We think it’s the best in its class.

Georgia Gold Unearthed With GTI 2500 To make this story short, I found this nugget in a creek near the edge of the embankment at an old gold mine. It was at about five inches down on the bedrock. I was using the stock 9.5" coil and it read at number 6 on the GTA scale. Usually I find many bullets at this mine and they usually read at number 7.
