Detector Finds Civil War Relics!

My metal detector was literally right out of the box, and all I had with me was a digging shovel. I was out on some private property (with permission of course) and the ground was dry and hard.

I lived beside and hunted "The Battle of Cedar Creek" battlefield for many years thereafter and have educated myself greatly about Civil War relics. So you can imagine how surprised and elated I was to dig 10" into dry, hard ground and pull out a Confederate CS tongue belt buckle!
